STEAM League - Spring 2021
Dates
Duration: 8 weeks, from May 3 to June 26, 2021 with STEAM League Tournament Saturday, June 26
Frequency: Two 1.5 hour team sessions per week (Mon & Wed or Tues & Thurs)
Time: After school (typically between 5:00 and 8:00pm)
NOTE: We do our best to accommodate meeting day preferences, but schedules may change based on team registrations.
Structure
Delivery: Virtual with live coaches (synchronous)
Best for: Children in grades 3 to 8
Gender: Co-ed
Team size: 5-7 children per team
Pricing
Registration fee of $500 includes supplies, materials and a LAUNCH t-shirt.
Financial assistance available.
Complete a bursary application to apply for financial assistance.
What is STEAM League?
Just like in hockey, dance, soccer or gymnastics, kids join teams led by coaches for hands-on activities in all things science, technology, engineering, art and math -- STEAM.
Teams meet virtually in two sessions each week over the season. Coaches lead, share, encourage and inspire kids with fun activities, team challenges and maybe a few surprises along the way!
LAUNCH Boxes
The program includes LAUNCH Boxes with materials and activities for the season. It's your very own STEAM kit with all of the supplies you need!
LAUNCH Championship
Our end-of-season tournament gets teams involved in brain-busting, thought-provoking, team-building challenges. Kids use their STEAM knowledge to create and innovate together. Who will be our next STEAM League champ?!
Inspiring Kids with STEAM
Independence
Activities designed for children to participate on their own with little parental involvement.
Curiosity
LAUNCH programs are designed to inspire children's curiosity through hands-on play.
Creativity
Activities will help children develop their creativity and critical thinking skills.
